Well this is a proposed list for a 2000 point game

4 infantry squads(2 per platoon) heavy bolters in all squads

2 Leman Russ Squadrons: 2 in each squad(total 4) all with heavy bolter sponsons
Fast attack squadran: 2 hell hounds
1 Valkyrie Assault carrier
So what do you think for a highly mechanized IG army? should i cut back on something? Should i make it more balanced? should i focus more on this? Please tell me.....
You have nothing to kill tanks, big squadrons that makes your vehicles easier to kill, expensive SCs that don't help your army, and infantry platoons with subpar weapons.
If you want to go mech, swap the infantry for Vets in Chimeras or Valks/Vends with meltas, add Medusas and/or Devil Dogs to help against vehicles, don't bother with squadrons, lose Creed and Yarrick, and pick up anything else you find handy (I like PBS or allied Sisters).
If you want infantry, swap Yarrick for a normal Commissar Lord, give your infantry autocannons, add a bunch of lascannon HWS (normally I don't care for them, but 4 orders and Ld10 is handy), and throw in some outflanking Valks/Vends with melta Vets or Medusas/Devil Dogs.

I'm not 100% on this but if you have 4 LRBT in two squads of two I think you would be better of with 1 squad of 2 and 2 on their own. But like I said I'm not 100% as I do not really play much in squadrons.
Sorry I forgot the bas. But then Is 1 sq of 3 LRBT plus one solo a better option?
Ehm.. I wouldn't call an IG army with only foot slogging troops for mechanized at all..? There might be something I'm not quite getting here.. So if they're all mounted you forgot to write it..
As for the list you severely lack AT as ==He== pointed out, especially in a 2k list where you might very well see an opponent with a lot of tanks.. Consider getting lascannons in your infantry squads instead of heavy bolters, you already got plenty of horde killing stuff in your heavy support and fast attack options (assuming the valk got MRP, which it should have).. You might also be interested in splitting your Hellhounds up to add more flexibility and to give them a multimelta each.. Also if you intend to throw a command squad into the valk you could give it meltaguns.. Alternatively you could skip the sponson HBs on a pair of the russes and give them hull lc's instead.
Those are the least list changing ways for you to include more AT..
I don't quite see what you intend to do with Yarrick? His high cost could be spend so much better at including just a bit AT.
The CCS is also kindof a mismatch I think, do you intend to just hide them somewhere and hope the enemy will never get to them? Well this could be done I guess.. I'd prefer the relative safety of a chimera though..
Also you might find that 2 minimum platoons, with no sort of protection whatsoever (cept one squad that can ride in the valk..?) is a bit too little when doing objectives..
As it has been stated, your lack of anti armor (and by that I mean meltaguns) will result in your getting rocked by mech/dreadspam/LR spam/MC spam/ ect. Basically anything that requires lots of anti tank will roll over you.
You have two options, either take some Vets w/ 3 meltas in a chimera (to get them where they need to go), or slap meltaguns in all of your infantry squads (could just replace the HB w/ a meltagun). With Creed giving them BiD! they will still be able to hit armor most of the time (but they'll have a hard time getting to the armor unless it comes to you).
Consider switching the Valk to a Vendetta.
Consider dropping Yarrick. You do not have a squad that really takes advantage of Yarrick (ie a big conscript squad).
