i wanted to get youre opinion on what i should get next for my emperors knights army.So far i have:
1 space marine captian
Hey mate, im not sure what your army's rule and traits are, but if you are going for close combat go with 1 or 2 assult squad. long range go with devastor squad. it also seems like you need some armour as you can get easily chewed up if your army only consist of only infantry. a predator could be good, or maybe a dreadnought or maybe a landspeeder.
At the end, it all depends on what your army is based on. Close Combat or Ranged or Armour Heavy. but you want to be sure you have a squad or an armour that can fulfill its role. For example, A devastor squad that has 2 rocket launcher and 1 melta gun for anti armour, but IF they are caught with enemy that are heavy in infantry, eg Ork or Nids. the rocket launcher can still be a blower. So pick them for ONE specific job only but give them a choice if they get in a pinch.

ATM a box of AoBR should help you out. Another tactical squad, some termies, a dread, ad another captain would add a deal of flexibility to your list. Through great shooting and combat power, the termies and dread will require a lot of fire to get downed.
Other than that what weapons does everyone have?

ok here it is in detail
1 space marine captain,bolter,power sword,banner
tactical squad,five additional marines,flamer,sergeant with bp and cs,missile launcher *2
scouts, heavy bolter, frag grenades
For a 2000 point army (or close) i think you should have:
six 10-man tacticals
two 8-man devastator squads
one whirlwind tank
one space marine captain
one 3 unit land speeder squadran, with heavy flamers
You can upgrade with leftover points....
Pick up another Tactical squad box so you can have 2 10-man squads, then I'd suggest getting a Force Commander box, since from the description you gave of your captain it's the one from AoBR, and in my mind could have a better load-out. Also, the leftovers in the FC box will give you things to give to your sargeants.
Space Marines: W15/L7/D3
Imperial Guard: W6/L4/D0
plus u should use devastators as tank busters not assault that is what the 60 tactical squads are for
