Fellow BA and SM players how do you think the new rule that states you may not shoot if firing RF will affect blood angel tactical squads with their bolters, because BA's best strength is in their assault
how about not shooting?
true, but its always better to shoot
not always, with BA and BT their real strenght lie in cc just like nids and world eaters
well, with the new rules, it's not better to shoot
ya, and i meant its always good to shoot
If we win combat in the first round of combat, then our higher initiative will give us a good chance to wipe the enemy out
also we can now get to combat quicker...just dont rapid fire
over all i think we just got stronger
Never judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes...by that time they'll be a mile away, and have no shoes
Thanks to you the 2" of combat things just got nastier for CC armies.

A recent GT winner had a BA army just like the old ones. He had four different troops choices in rhinos and his tactics were to just drive straight towards them, jump out right in their faces and weather the first turn of shooting. Then, with what he had left, he would charge.
Sounds to me like he woulda been slaughtered, but he won every game.
In my armie i use priest and honour guard and dc with chaplain to take care of close combat. i have lots of 5 man tacs and veteran squads each has:
1 vet sergeant (for death company powers)
3 marines( take all the hits)
1 lascannon ( anti tank and after that anti elite
My death company's are huge and this army works really well even though it does not sound like it would.
New rules rock for my army!
