Ok so i was looking over the codex and it says that for a scout sergeant, he may replace is bolt pistol and/or boltgun for
a combi weapon, a plasma pistol and ther stuff. My question is, how do i get those weapons on a scout arm? do i take a plasma pistol bit and convert a hand to hold it?
Also if i have a Chapter master with a boltgun and a power weapon on him, can i change the power weapon to a relic blade and still use the bolter for shooting and close combat? i was wondering cause the codex says its a two handed weapon.
1st question: Your going to have to convert the scout. The easiest way to do that is to get a scout arm which is already holding a bolt pistol and cut the bolt pistol off the hand. Then replace it with a plasma pistol. (If you do not have a plasma pistol there are tons in the assault marine box).
2nd question: You can change the power sword to a relic blade because they basically look the same. But in terms of a game if you tell the person your playing what it is then there shouldn't be an issue.
Also you can also have the boltgun on the model. A similar question was brought up int he most recent sm faq on the gw website regarding storm shields and relic blades. You can equip your chapter master with both a relic blade and boltgun.
However you cannot gain a close combat attack bonus for a relic blade and say another close combat weapon because the relic blade is two handed it its profile. (This doesn't apply because you have boltgun so you would gain an extra attack for 2 close combat weapons anyway but hey it is good to cover all the bases). Your Chapter master would just be using his relic blade in combat or just his boltgun. Its confusing i know but hey its gw.
You cannot rapid fire a boltgun and then assault into combat so no you cannot shoot with your boltgun then use it in assault (because you cannot fire a boltgun and then assault).
I hope this clears up your questions if it doesn't i am sure someone will make it clearer/correct me

While your at it, Give the chapter master a storm bolter. Shoot AND assault then. Lots of combi weapon options for him too.
Jager bombs. Very efficient at wiping out friend or foe.
