I just read commissar Yarrick's profile, as i was going to use him in an upcoming battle, and noticed that he has no refractor field or equivalent, does he really have no invul save, or have i over looked something?
He has a force field, which causes all successful to wound rolls to be rerolled and carapace armour which gives him a 4+ save. He's pretty hard to kill. But I would only use him for Apocalypse.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Nope no invul save for Yarrack, but his combo of eternal warrior and iron will means he doesn't exactly need one, hell the incrased T, force field, and carapace armou can't hurt either.

ok guys thanks that's all i wanted to confirm, it just seemed weird that he didn't and i had a double take lol
He may not have an invul save but he pretty much has a better We Will Be Back roll then a Necron
If you do things right people wont be sure if you have done anything at all.
He never has, and never will. He has a force field so you have to re-roll to wound against him, and he can get back up, so he basically has 4 wounds. Not to mention the fact he's immune to instant death (finally!!!!!).
yea he's a real bastard, if you roll well enough you can survive 6 rounds of combat with a lot of orks

I've always been a Yarrick fan, but the problem I have with him is that I don't think he makes up his point cost - Sure he's hard to kill, but not hard enough.. his range is meh (storm bolter) and his melee, while good, isn't on par with other units in his price range - specifically when compared to other melee units of ~ 200 pts.
I like him, but he's made for tieing units up, not really that good at doing damage.
