    Death Korps of Krieg Addiction

So after seeing my brother jump off the deep end and get an all Death Korps of Krieg army, I wanted to take a poll and see how other players out there are dealing with their resin crack addiction. FW has put out some gorgeous DKoK models. I'm curious to see the various degrees people have dived in.

The death korp models are extraordinary, but with the current finicial state I am in, I have to focus on my converted gaurd. If I had about a grand to throw around though, I'd do up some DKoK.

I love the models, and rules but at $60 for 10 guardsmen it's like hmmm do I want 30 for that price or 10? I'll sacrifice looks for numbers after all it is guard =). My vietnam themed badachans are cool enough at the moment.

Also I did buy the DKoK command squad for my steel legion, and went OMG because unlike my chaos FW DKoK are very complex to clean and build without breaking them "damn resin!"

I selected quite a few models because I dont know what a full army would need, I probably have enough for a full army though.

    Nice poll heh heh.

I like the models of course, and I'd like to get a squad or two. But I won't, because I don't want a whole army of them and a squad or two would just make my Cadians look like badly sculpted idiots with giant lasguns and enormous heads. And nobody wants that.

I use FW to accessorize my armies (love the Cadian conversion kits), but like many moderate-casual gamers, I don't want to spend a ton on an all-resin army.* Aside from my beloved Malcador, Ill stick to the occasional Malcador and Russ turret kit, thankyou very much.

*As an aside, FW didn't do their Tallarn and Elysian ranges any favours with IAV3 - the whole book read like a Tau propaganda piece - the last thing I wanted to buy afterward were Imperial models...

I'd hate to do an all FW army. The few things i've bought from forge world have been below average standard with stupid mould defects and a mould lines even my aged mother can see.

I'd have the old metal Catachans any day.

I'll eventually spring for Death Riders most likely, but nothing beyond that. And half of the reason for them is just because they haven't given me a good alternative for Rough Riders other than Tallarn, and I use Praetorian as my desert/armored attachment.
