What do you feel is the best way to play Commissar Yarrick...
...in small games (500-1000 points)?
...in medium-sized games (1000-2000 points)?
...in large games (2000+ points)?
I've pondered this for some time, but, having come to no definite conclusions, am as yet undecided. Any and all thoughts are appreciated.
Either. Yarrick is killer either way! I know that in the old codex it said you can't field him in under 1500 or 2000 point battles, but i'm pretty sure that rule was eliminated in the new codex. Its awesome to see him take out a carnifex, because the only reason he can do so is because he gets back up with one wound on a 3+ Who cares how many times a carnifex can attack! Yarrick swing his lil' claw and pwn him!
I love Yarric
"Humies is all weak scum that deserve ta get stomped. 'Cept for One-Eye Yarrick. He knows how ter fight."
i would say medium to large because of his cost but yeah he whoops ET butt. oh what was that ET! pow! bye bye ET.
I am an Indestructible master of War.
I completely overlooked a way my questions could be - and were - understood. I meant, what sort of army composition best compliments the inclusion of Commissar Yarrick in small, medium-sized, and large games? Infantry-focused for all three? Mech for small? How do you make a Ld-boosting, combat-focussed addition to a average Ld, ranged-focussed army worth 185 points? My difficulty is in justifying his points, especially in small games. Because I would like to use him in all my games (call me crazy), I was just curious as to how best to build an army around that intention.
Thanks, though, for the feedback - my confidence in his worth is much bolstered. Taking down a carnifex! Now that's something for a guardsman to write home about!
