I'm sorry if there has been a similar topic before but I did a search and can't find anything but please redirect me to it if it exists.
I've been playing marines for awhile now, switching between armies a few times but always keeping my Templars and coming back to them as their awesome. Now I really need a drastic change in my army as half the models are falling apart or were painted when I was 10 or are not painted at all and I'm fed up with this and so I've decided that I'm going to buy new stuff over the space of about a year to replace my current space marine army.
Now I don't want to stay with the same units as I had a miss match of models which I brought as I had the money or because they were going cheap on ebay and so my army never really had a theme which I now really think would be awesome to have and It never had many units which were brought for looks or fun.
So my question for you my fellow LO'ers is could you post what you believe to be the unit or units you have the most fun playing with and the ones which you brought purely based on how good you thought they would look in your army, If anyone could then come up with a theme (which could just be a simple one like all assault/shooting or certain trophies on models) for how I would make the whole army be unified.
I am open to suggestions from any of the Marine codex's as I have experimented with many of them and so am happy to use any of them.
Thanks a lot in advanced to anyone who responds as all comments are welcome
I'm Useless :D
If you're looking for nice models then take some Grey knight termies as allies, they're the best looking models I've seenl
Have you thought about stripping the paint and repainting? Aside from saving you money, it would give you a chance to further hone your skills at painting. That way when you do start picking up new modeis you can paint them to your highest standards. Some simple updating like swapping for new bolters, new arms, etc can make a big difference with old models. I've updated quite a few of my 2nd edition Space Wolves like that. Also, if you have some models you really don't like, you could part them and use them for your bitz box.
