    Sternguard ammunition vs power armour

    Tomorrow I'm using my new Sternguard squad for the first time vs Marines and I'm not sure which ammunition to use against power armour. Who you go for Hellfire rounds - wounding on a 2+ but allowing an armour save? Or Vengeance rounds - wounds on a 4+ (with the risk of a 'gets hot' roll) but no save for power armour?

    If the MEQ unit are without cover save go Vengeance rounds. If it has cover, i would consider the normal boltshots with 3 shots (don't remember it's name).

    But i haven't done the mathhammer.

    I normally throw the hellfire rounds at high toughness targets. Personally, I go vengeance rounds against anything in power armor that's not in cover.

    I would go for Vengence rounds, I don't see why everyone gets so worried about gets hot - there isn't much chance you're going to die from it if you're a marine

    I always seem to lose one or two marines every timei use vengeance rounds but i always kill loads so i makess up for it

    Vengeance Rounds if they're in the open, Hellfire (the wounds-on 2+) if they're in cover. AP3 is only any good if they have no other saving throw to use.
