Welcome to Librarium Online!
The title should say it all. Does anyone have any tips or methods that are effective when fighting this kind of chaos marine army? I play regular codex marines just so you know.
Transports for your troops , or the units that can take them. Lash uses line of sight and can't be used on Rhinos, Land raiders or through drop pods: So you pod in and disembark on the opposite side. A librarian can be of some uses too if you're good with the dices ; Me, my last game made me rethink using a librarian because i have the damnedest of luck in these matters. If you go with a librarian you can use the psychic hood or "gates of infinity" to protect your squads.
An other nifty trick is to combat squad your units , so you essentially have 2 times the amount of targets to lash; However you end up not loosing as many due to blasts or close combat.
Also, and this is kind of a no-brainer; Kill the daemon prince. The really go down fast if you focus enough on them, with a save 3/5++ i'd go with bolters or hell fire rounds and force a major amount of saves. I know my kill ratio of bolter to plasma favors bolters (Or small arms fire) at the moment.

Transports are definitely the way to go.
Ave Dominus Nox!
transport for lash and for high point games go with the LRC or LRP. hit him where it hurts.

Definitely transports and a Librarian if you use them.

As above plus Scouts with Sniper Rifles tend to give DPs a hard time. Watch out for the Sorcerer in a Rhino lashing things from the fire point.
Currently play: 4000+ of Black Legion
Don't take Sniper Scouts against DPs. Wound on 4+ is all well and good, but you've got to hit first (BS3 is bad) and the DP still gets his save against whatever wounds you put on him; plus, Lash is usually not the only thing you've got to worry about in a dual-Lash list, and those Scouts are useless against Defilers, Oblits, Plague Marines and CSM squads. Big guns are a far more efficient method of killing the DPs and work against the other stuff too. Meching up is the quickest way of negating the Lashes, just be aware that the other stuff he brings (and indeed the DPs themselves) are going to kill your Rhinos in short order; and once the METAL BAWKSES are no more your units are fair game.
If you want something specifically to deal with the DP take a unit of Termies and a Termie Epistolary with Smite and GoI. Teleport them into shooting range of the DP and hose him down, then do it to the other one. His choices are either ignore the Termies as they 'port around killing his DPs, thus his DPs die; split his DPs up in which case your army can tackle one and the Termies will kill the other; or kill the Termies, which will take some doing.
Well my dear boy, I've suffered the same problem in the past and I got around it by A. out flanking my army, and B. a terminator librarian with storm shield and a bodyguard of 5 TH/SS termys.
However if you dont want to rely on the ol' psychic hood, you can always mechanize your force, might I recommend Razorbacks (only because my dual lash player is mech and uses the fire points on his rhinos to lash me) with lascannon, and twin-linked plasma. I used them for taking down his rhinos and obliterators, He was forced to go after them instead of the other half of my tac squad (combat squad FTW) which had lascannons who were also picking rhinos and oblits off.
Happy hunting though.
Thanks for all the replies I have an upcoming local tourney and expect to see at least one of these.
