So, I'm getting ready to put my imperial guard army together and I'm worried that it will end up looking like every other guard army out there. I was trying to come up with some sort of twist to add flavor to it, without having to buy TONS of extra stuff. Right now I own tons of the cadian stuff, so it'd be way to expensive to try and replace them with one of the already established guard armies. Some ideas:
1) All Inducted. This would be easy to do. Just need to paint them inqusitor colors, through some big I's on them and thats it.
2) Reaplce the heads. Ive found a few heads that look pretty cool. The main one right now is HEAVY INFANTRY CLOSED HELMET SPRUES
3) just try a unique color scheme and try to come up with some interesting fluff. This is probably the easiest, I guess, but I'm not sure if its enough to make the army interesting.
4) I strongly considered making them all zombies, but I dont know if thats a bit too goofy since I have three vendettas and leman russes.
the helmets kind of look like master chief from halo.
I am an Indestructible master of War.
there was one guy, i didn't see his army but my brother and friend did, he had WWII Guard, and he somehow made his LRBT to look like Shermans
We who have seen war will never stop seeing it....In the silence of the night, we will always hear the screams....
Someone at my club has an extreme deathwing: a Hello Hittie army , he painted them pink, on the big things like banner and vehicles he painted the HK logo, bought some pink dice.
by doing something like this you'll keep the same same models but it looks a lot different from/to (not good at english) regular guard
