I have a few armys from Warhammer Fantasy but i am looking to get into 40k now i like the look of the modles of the space Marines and a buddy of mine is going to be playing the Black Templars and my other buddy is going to play Tau so out of the rest of the Space Marines i was thinking bout the Space Wolfves but i dont like the fact that they cant use dreadnoughts or am i wrong bout that? lol so any kind of tips or info that anyone wouldnt mind shareing with me that would b great
#1: Marines are a solid choice. If youre not familiar with them, they are hard as rocks and usually the standard other players lists try to beat. With marines you will be able to handle any opponent with some planning.
#2: Space Wolves are an old army now, but there is a rumored (confirmed?) codex update in october. I blew the dust off of my old copy and yes, you can take dreadnoughts. A suggestion would be to read over the wiki entry for Space Wolves and see what you think after.
As for tips, If you start collecting 40K, like any other army, make sure you get your minimum troop requirments. In 40K its 2x Troops and 1x HQ.
"So, how did you become a Renegade Space Marine?"
"..... Tax evasion...."
alright man thanks a lot for the info i'll b sure to have a look that the Space Wolfves thingy
