I play blood raven marines and I have a friend playing salamanders who keeps beating me at 1850 he takes 10 terms with th ss vulkan and tigurius he gates up the board and reeks havoc especially on my 5 th ss temrms and a force commander that plays as lysander. He aslo takes 6 attack bikes which I also have a prob with any suggestions.
A moment of weakness spawns a life tme of heresy...
What units do you field and what tactics do you use? Deployment?
Edit: You could use a 4 x plasmacannon Devastator squad on them.

Anything with Power Weapons should beat the Terminators. Thats one situation where I think the Vanguard Veterans with Jump Packs could help. The trick is to kill them before they can retaliate with their Thunderhammers (as they still roll on initiative 1). Otherwise just board them with mass plasma fire.
A unit with 10 assault terminators and Vulkan and Tigerius is best killed with ranged firepower. Concentrate fire on the unit. Or, since it's pretty expensive and big, even in 1850, kill everything else he has, and keep away from the termies. Moving away from it should be possible if you are mech. Or have a lot of fast units like bikes, asm and so on.
Multiple Melta/Multi-Melta weapons got the job done for me more times than usual. Since it's AP1 they have to use their 3+invulnerable save instead of their 2+ Armour Save! I agree with the other comments as well since they a close combat squad they have to get close so use Plasma Cannons from a distance or the Vindicator uses the large blast template with AP2 as well.
The best and most mobile option would be to use Attack Bikes with Multi-Melta, since Multi-Melta's have a range of 24" and Attack Bikes can move 12" inches you can keep these guys away for the entire game while picking them off slowly!
Hope this has helped and good luck!
All I find I ever need to deal with attack bikes is devastators.a cheap unit with 4 missile launchers will cost you only 150 points and decimate attack bikes as missile launchers have the ap knock out their save, and have high enough strength to instakill them as they go by their base toughness withoout the bikes modifier for instant killing. As for the termies massed firepower force them to roll lots of their invul saves plasma cannons are key here, but what I find helpful agaiinst units like that is a librarian with null zone making them reroll their 3+ invul
