ok so I was painting my LR all happy, talking to my gf on over the phone after just getting back from GW with a fresh set of paints when all of a sudden I knock over chaos black onto the white millano carpet rug, like the entire new pottle, and it flew through the air so its all been dispersed in about a metre square area. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO GET IT OUT OF THE CARPET PLEASE ?? !!! my parents are going to kill me !!!! I have just drenched it in water atm and have no idea what to do, maybe add some turps or vodka ? god I dont know ! anyone have any ideas ?

DO NOT RUB IT IN!
Scoop/blot up what you can
Use kitchen roll of something VERY absorbent
Don't let it dry out
Find a stain remover that is safe to use on it, use it straight away. It will probably say to test on somewhere inconspicuous first, do this but unless you see an immediate reaction it should be OK.
You'll probably be left with some sort of stain but it will be a lot less noticeable.

After u removed most of the paint with the water its in now use;
use lots and lots of salt ( and i do mean like a kilo or so)
that will absorb alot of fluid and with it i hope the paint.
it works wonders with red wine .. so i might very wel work on wet paint
Ouch. Other than what's been said above, you can tentatively try some paint stripper if it's already dried. Lots and lots of scrubbing with a brush should loosen it a little bit, you might also be able to pick it off when dried solid.
But seriously, unlucky. GW paint is notoriously difficult to get off clothes and furniture. I remember about ten years ago I spilled a whole pot of Bad Moon Yellow on my new black jeans. Since that day I have never used Bad Moon Yellow ever again.
If there's still any paint let on your carpet find some paint that matches it's original colour.

Carpet chearner should work but you'll need to leave it to dry.
Way i get rid of Red Wine stains is to just poor some salt onto the spill and that sucks all the wine up. Obviously you'll need to water the paint down a bit.
If not carpet cleaner, warm water and lots of elbow work should do it.
Sorry dude but i could help but laugh when i read that I remember when i spilt Liche purple. It went everywhere. Over the TV, the Carpet, Dog....... Bad times....
I doubt anything will work. Once tipped a load of paint on my trousers and was able to rescue them by immediatly soaking them in water and then rinsing furiously. As I had the stain under the tap within 30 seconds it came out but left a few marks where a little had dried at the margins etc. With a carpet you are screwed. I think it may be a good time to buy your parents an attractive rug.

Did the same thing, I mean sprayed carpet with chaos black... I've panicked a little, and rubbed it in, and around... panicked again picked up a piant which machetd it's color (bleached bone) and painted it right over the CB. It worked. And I'm not joking.
So, if you're feeling lucky...
I'd probably use mineral spirits
