Hello there IG players, I have a small question regarding the legality of the Armoured Company (as appears in the August UK White Dwarf issue). Is it a legal army to use in in-store tournaments and cups? I'm especially interested in the Cup, since the winners of each store cup will travel to warhammer world to play other cup winners, and from what I gathered the Armoured Company is not allowed to be played in official events. Thanks in advance for any answers.
I would say don't do it. Armored company just recently became a little bit too powerful. They took away the "lucky glance" rule and then added in a lot of doctrines that are cool, but a bit too powerful.
What I'm trying to say is that it's not a balanced army and if I was running the event, then you would have to play against necrons every game just to balance things out.
ya know AC isnt all its cracked up to be, if youve got alot of terrain, your screwed. Nothing can save you.
Some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill them.
I used to hate going to weddings because the old women would poke me and say Your next, but they quit when I started doing it to them at funerals.
Nah, I'm not using AC but a friend of mine is playing in the same cup as I am and he is coming up against an AC opponent, so I was wondering if the AC can be legally used in GW events as its rules are still experimental. To be frank, I am a bit sceptical as to its legality as army lists throughout the cup cannot be changed and nobody takes up the amount of AT weapons needed to go against the company.
So? Thats the point behind an armoured regiment, A powerful sledgehammer ike punch through totaly unprepared lines. A unit of termies or assualt marines with meltabombs could easily wipe the smirk of their faces. (taking lots of Rocket launchers also helps, they're the best heavy weapon in the game! )
Wins from my armies.
Cadian 22nd/124th (Infantry/armoured) 17/9/15
Cadian 128th (Artillery) DISBANDED!
Space Wolves (Marines) DISBANDED!
To answer your question as directly as possible,You said Warhammer World, which to me, sound very much akin to a by-the-books league or tournament set up by either GW or someone contracted with them. In either case, I doubt the AC would be legal.I'm especially interested in the Cup, since the winners of each store cup will travel to warhammer world to play other cup winners, and from what I gathered the Armoured Company is not allowed to be played in official events. Thanks in advance for any answers.
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
Ac is not legal in GT's or most other tourneys so im guessing no.
