So my Birthday was today and my parents gave me a 100 dollar card to GW and an Ironclad Dreadlol. Anyways I was wondering what the the best assualty Ironclad would be. Leaning towards something like anti-infrantry or a mix between anti-infrantry and tank. Sorry but I don't feel like spending the time looking through my codex and adding points. I'd rather get opinions from experienced players from LO.
Sorry for any bad spelling, OCD is a powerful thing to overcome......I hate OCD-_-
Ive personal;ly found great success playing around with an ironclad with a seismic hammer, heavy flamer and hurricane bolters. This ironclad has a decent amount of firepower, and shoujld be able to waste a good few imnfantry models a turn with shooting, as long as this isnt at MEQs, and still packs enough of a punch in combat without the extra dreadnaught close combat weapon to waste all but the fastest of tanks, as the 6 to hit can be very annoying. Facing troops I find the DCCW rarely is missed, as the extra rapid firing shots should be infinately more useful than a single extra attack in combat.
Ask me about the Black and White Space Marine on the Black and White Bike!!!
If you run Vulkan, heavy flamer + meltagun loadout is so perfect. He will be very effective against both infantry and vehicles, and is a monster in close combat. With a drop pod, it comes out to a nice 180 points.
I WANNA GET STUCK IN WIT DA BOYZ
DCCW, Seismic Hammer, Ironclad Launchers, a pair of Heavy Flamers, plus a Drop Pod with a Deathwind Launcher for me. 220 points of death. Drop it into the heart of an enemy army (drop 2 in if you can swing it!), and let it go to town - it'll tear the heart out of almost anything in a big hurry!
I will admit that I am tempted to use a double heavy flamer loadout. I'll have to magnetize my Ironclad so I can swap weapons.
