Just looking for some thoughts to use against the newest iteration of the "rhino rush". Now it seems to be SM (or CSM) loading the whole army (mainly melta-carrying combat/tac squads) into rhinos and charging ahead, just getting out to seize objectives. Combat teams with heavy weapons squatting on the "home" objectives, and 1-2 special units (either heavy support or FA) acting as "scouring" units (not scoring, but scouring- as in cleaning your objectives off for the troops).
Obviously these lists expose our greatest weakness- anti-armor. Despite trying to take LR lists, justicars with MB, inducted IST/SIsters with melta, I just can't seem to get any traction. When you have 6 rhinos coming at you (one opponent had 6 rhinos and 3 predators- 9 tanks), even great dice rolling won't help.
Marion: You're not the man I knew ten years ago.
Indiana: It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
For the last time, there are
NO FEMALE SPACE MARINES!!!!!
There is a few options:
1) Land Raider spam
3 LR's w/6 TLLC's, of which each can fire at different targets thanks to PotMS, is almost guaranteed to take down about 3 tanks a turn (or at least slow them down).
2) Rhino spam
It's cheap. 5 IST's, 2 meltas, rhino w/EA+smokes = 128pts only. Just make sure you follow them with some knights in LR/LRC for cleanup duties.
3) Inducted IG
Probably the cheapest. Get squads and squads of infantry w/autocannons. You can even get autocannon heavy weapon squads. Rhinos won't survive.
Multiple ISTs with meltas in Rhinos and, as Frank suggested, inducted IG with autocannons.
There just isn't any other practical build for the DH to combat a properly mechanized opponent.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

You can feasibly do it with Psycannons and GKTs charging out of Crusaders, especially if the buggers are close together, but the Autocannons really are essential. A couple of Chimeras aren't a bad idea either; enough Multilasers will be capable of inflicting damage on AV11.
