The codex says that anything in Termie armor can deepstrike, which would mean that the Inq could, but what about the retinue? I would imagine that the retinue would NOT be able to DS so he would have to be byhimself, however the inq and his retinue count as a single unit.
If the Inq CAN teleport with his unit, what about if you give him a transport? Would the transport be able to deepstrike as well? I doubt it ,but man a deepstriking landraider would be awesome!
the way i understand it is, if you give the =][= termie armour, your giving an independant charactor the 'deepstrike' ability, so any squad they join/ transport they have would not have the ability and the =][= would also lose the ability, however you could always stick him in a squad of GKT's
but he still has the ability in his profile, when he's with his retinue he'd lose the ability to join other squads, but he still has the ability in his profile
however they count as a unit, so unless the retinue had the special rule aswell the =][= would lose it whilst with his retinue
I think he loses it as well, but the ruling is weird in my opinion. He is not an IC with his retinue, so he would still have his rulings. I'm not 100% convinced that he can't DS with his retinue.
id believe he'd only lose the IC ruling as far as joining other units would go, as its as though he's perminatly joined his retinue as a unit
but i could be wrong, GW dont' tend to word their rules very well do they
Only models in terminator armour -- or Fast Attack Grey Knights -- can deep strike. Since you cannot give TDA to models in an Inquisitor's retinue, they cannot deep strike even if the Inquisitor himself has TDA. Nothing confusing about this at all.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
