I am custom "re-building" an old Leman Russ, i am using larger sized leg wheels to build the cannon, any way i will also need to custom build all sponsons (if any) and the front gun.
i was wondering what the "best" outfit is
ps: if you have a good idea for dessert style camo-netting, and a gun to be in place of a heavy stubber, that would be appreciated

Sponsonless with a Hull Heavy Flamer keeps it cheap, effective, and you won't be tempted in the least to keep it still.
Space Marines: W15/L7/D3
Imperial Guard: W6/L4/D0
very direct to the point answer, Thank you
Um, would a heavy stubber be a good option to out fit it with, that way i can help my infantry until i get in range to use the demolisher cannon, it would allow me 6-ish shots over 2 turns roughly before im in range?
Grey2321 got it, keep it cheap and mobile. Heavy Stubbers are points filler, 3 S4 shots at BS3 is definitely not worth 10 points.

thank you all very much, another question, how big is the demolisher barrel in comparison to the battle cannon, and how wide is it?
and any ideas on dessert camo netting or equivalent?
Bandages work well for rolled up camo netting. If you want them unrolled, you'll need to split them. I agree with the others. Don't bother with pintle weapons. I'd like to see the model when it's done! Keep going: For the emporer!
commissar spell check ( points pistolare chadsm's head ) it's emperor and i don't know who you are supporting but it ain't no emperor that i serve ^^. lol jokes
How about something like fish nets, but on a much smaller scale, try a guarden centre and see what you can find.
I will try to get a picture up as soon as possible, to make the barrel i just used the first section of the regular battle cannon, then I took some brass grate cover and rounded it to make almost 2 half crescents on the top and bottom of the cannon.
just to be the devils advocate, instead of using heavy flamers you could just run heavy bolters on it. its almost as cheap (if not as cheap) and adds some bolter death to your ranged pool. well yes, as the other might be ready to say, you might not be as mobile (or tempted to behave in such a way) but the bolters do put a different spin on things. just use it for area denial to cover your squads, with the bolters giving it some range to still participate in the battlefield. totally depends how ya wanna use your soon to be sweet converted tank.
