has anyone noticed that the new space wolves release seems to be aimed at taking out a nurgle army or is that just my imagination???
explain why you think that
me and the manager at the GW I go to had a look through the new codex and found the lone wolves. i just thought that given they give zero kill points for dying and get the re-rolls on anything T5 plus, you could get 1 or 2 and just sorta get them straight into combat with a unit of plaguebearers to tie them up. then they have to kill him for no gain at all while my army has a few less plaguebearers to deal with. just a thought.
I haven't been lucky enough to view the new Wolves 'dex. However, a single model charging into a squad of plague bearers, doesn't seem like it will tie up the squad very long.

and since nurgle armies dont usually have high initiatives in their troops, Njall Stormacaller's new psychic power, Jaws of the world wolf will work wonders
how many units of this can you take and what cost are we talking about?
it's not like you can build a viable army out of them
besises... nurgle is the army that likes to tie things up.. tying them up isnt exactly the way to beat them
But, they look like they will be an entertaining thing to take. Does your opponent run away from them so they get the VP? Or do they kill them and give you the VP. (or something like that. I forget the specifics of the VP rules for them)
If they are still alive by the end of the game, they give your opponent a KP. If they die, they don't.
They are quite interesting, but have very few attacks. However, for 75 points you get a SM with a 3+ invulnerable save and 3 S5 attacks on the charge.
