so how do you deal with +2 guys? or those with T5 or more and have more than 1 wound
more specifically, but you don't have to, for 1500 points.
when you have chosen what you think works for you. tell me: how reliable are they? if you haven't used them, how reliable do you think they are?
p.s. what's your opinion prince of excess in particular? and lord_borak and ==ME== and MR.Biscuits .
I reckon a Demolisher is your best bet, instant kills T5 as well as having an AP of 2. Coupled with plasma sponsons, you can't go far wrong. In fact, take 2.
Of course, I do not have the same stature as the aforementioned but thats what I think
For get your Mr T, John Mayer leaks pure awesomeness with every note he plays.
Naked Demolishers are probably best, meltaguns get the job done too. For MCs and the like I take maybe one plasmagun vet squad. If you really want to dish out the points for it, Executioner with plasma sponsons.
I'll be paying attention to this thread because T7 Carnifexes cause me no end of annoyances.
If we're talkin infantry, I'll take plasma rifles or melta guns on a vet squad. Melta guns provide a little extra oomph without the possibility of it exploding. Plasma rifles, on the other hand, I'll take with a dedicated anti-2+ role in mind.
As an example, if I'm fighting regular termies, I'll take Plasma Rifles. If I'm fighting a Tau opponent who runs suits on a constant basis, I'll take melta guns for the instant death. I throw them in a vendetta/valk and go from there. Keeps my opponent honest to have so many high strength/low AP weapons on the field.

Demolishers are awesome sauce. AP2 and S10 means they instaglib T5 and ignore all armor saves. Very handy.
Meltas and plasma work well here too.
And of course, forcing a ton of saves with weapons like autocannons, flamers, pie plates, and even lasguns will cause some to fail.

With guard I play a veteran mech list. So I run a lot of demo charges, plasma and melta guns. 2+ never seems to give me much of a problem. If I played infantry I would just max out on shots, auto cannons ect are fantastic. I don't care how good your armour save is, if you are taking 15+ wounds in a round of shooting you are going to fail some of those saves. When I play my nids I just go for volume of shots, and it works fantastic...nothing like Dakka Tyrants!

FrFSrF with Lasguns, Demolisher rounds and, if they don't have 3++ saves or I'm desperate, Plasma and Meltaguns. Really I've killed 10 man Termie units with Lasgun and Autocannon fire, torrenting always wins the day. Fear the Lasgun people, fear it.
Demolishers are your best bet against 2+ save models, they instant kill T5, and wound it on 2+.
Whats my opinion of those players you ask?
Prince: Don't really know him that well
Borak: Good member, contributes often and positively
==ME==: One of my favorite members on LO. He helps people in his own to the fact frank manner. Sure that 30 ogryn army might be cool but ==He== let's you know that you'll never win anything with it.

I can say mass ap 2 or ap 1 shots as well as just mass fire...I've seen and entire terminator squad as well as the HQs attached melt from a 50 man squad of IG troopers rapid into them
