Quick question folks, major apologies if it is this is raised somewhere else but I'm at work so have to be speedy..!
Played for the first time against my friendís space wolves the other night (technically a draw as neither of us was in control of the otherís objectives but a moral victory as he only had one model left on the table ) and just wondering if someone can clarify this for meÖ
My friend interpreted the wording in the SW Codex (donít have one on me so canít quote Ė sorry) in the wargear options for Wolf Guard as stating that one model (if in terminator armour) can take two lightning claws AND a Cyclone Missile Launcher.
I didnít really mind at the time as I acknowledge SWs are the mightiest of mighty warriors, but thought it seemed a little OTT. Just wanted to see if this was really allowed; in terms of fluff I fail to see how the Marine in question could move, aim and fire the missiles with hands full of lightning claws, and then assault as well with those LCs..!!
Dunno about SW, but Deathwing can do the same.
You could even have a terminator Apothecary with any weapon choice and the Cyclone missile launcher.
Thanks guys - didn't realise normal marines could do it too. I realise they carry the launchers on their backs was referring more to the operation of it; the old Cyclone Termies carried an aiming/firing controller in their hand. But I guess it IS the 41st millenium and they could just activate the missiles with a spoken command inside their helmets or something..in fact I'm sure that techinology already exists in some fancy figher planes...!
