Hello everyone. I was wondering if you could give a special or heavy weapon to a Sergeant, such as in Dawn of War II. I know that even if you could, it probably wouldn't be worth it to, I was just curious if you can.

Depends entirely on the squad and the codex - take a look at whatever book your working off of, and the unit who's sergent you want to give the weapon to.
Not having the codex immediately at hand, I can't say 100% for certain, but I'm almost positive that it designates Marines and Marine Sergeants differently.
So you take 9 Marines and one Marine Sergeant, the Marines have the special weapons, and the Marine Sergeant gets his separate options.
The sergeant, being essentially a separate sub-unit within the squad, has his own gear while the squad has their gear. The two don't mix.
Then you can get melee and some special weapons (in certain squads), but no heavy weapons on sergents that I know of.
If you look carefully at the codex entry, it states that the Sergeant may be equipped with certain weapons, and that Marines in the squad may be equipped with certain weapons. The Sergeant may only take choices from that one list, so no heavy or special weapons for him, though he will have the option to take weapons such as power weapons, powerfists, plasma pistols, combi-weapons, etc. That's the closest a squad Sergeant will come to having a special/heavy weapon, I'm afraid.
