So i have a pack of 5 GK that i didnt buy, but always thought they looked cool, im a SM player have a 1700 list played about 15ish games so far, but have never yet played a DH player. i dont even think i have seen a DH army out there. My friend who started playing the same time as me is starting his second army of blood angels and i thought id start DH and he told me they are the worst army in 40k, i know that the models are expensive and u dont field many troops but after reading tons of army lists and tactics i thought if give them a shot anyway, i have a few questions when people have a Grand master in their list or a Inquestor lord what are these models, i dont see them on the GW website? i read through the codex and seeems like everytime i play il be extremely outnumbered , just wondering on any reccomedations to play DH or not,
Don't even think about playing a pure GK army. You could make it work reasonably well in 4th edition 40K, but that army build didn't take the transition to 5th edition well at all.
That said, the DH can still be extremely competitive. The most competitive build would require you to take at least one platoon of inducted IG along with mounted IST units with meltas as the backbone with a smattering of GKs for counterassault punch.
Decent pure DH codex armies are also possible. See the links in my sig for more information.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

I dont know why you cant find the inquistion models but to get the Grand Master you buy a box of five terminators and the leader in that box can be either a Brother captain or the Grand master that you are looking for.
