I was thinking of making a Witch Hunters army, but I was trying to figure something out. How do you keep WYSIWYG with metal units in your army? Sisters are obvious, keeping appropriate weapons is easy for them. But what do I do with Book of St. Lucius? I have to give almost every group leader with one! This also goes for the special weapons like the Eviserator. Probably an obvious answer, but i'd like to make a WYSIWYG tourney army! Thanks
well, I use the chainsword models as eviscerators, and you can swap regular swords to be power weapons, maybe use daggers or something to be CCW's.
for the Book, I scrape off the =I= rosary, and attach a bit of painted sprue flashing or thick plasticard over where I scraped the =I= off. it looks like a book on a chain then... that is, if people are going to be that sticklerish about a small book.
the hardest thing I've done is cut off the tank and nozzle from a flamer to make a meltagun. not easy.
I have two Canonesses, one using the normal blister and the other is a converted celestine. Both of them have a seraphim jumppack and it looks good. I've recently tought about WYSIWYG and if you look at the cannoness model, she has a book on her person so that's no biggie, but Celestine does not. I figired I'd replace the braiser at her feet with a book. As for Sister Superiors, I was still working on that, but farmpunk had a good idea. I was thinking about maybe making it like a boss pole or a banner.
