Now, this is something I don't mind myself but I was wondering how some other wargamers felt on the subject. Obviously with the recent release pretty much marine can be made to look like a Space Wolf, but if I am honest I really rather the look of regular old marines. If someone randomly challenged you(you agree of course), pulled out some regular marines and then the Space Wolves codex, would you be fine with it, or would you go so far as it say its essential "count as" like saying marines are chaos? Would tournaments have the same responce? I was thinking of taking a look at the codex, but I wanted to see peoples responces first and if it is generally accepted (Suprisingly, I have only seen 2 other people play marines and neither of these Wolves so I don't really know ^^
Thanks for reading and your responce ^^
If they are painted in Wolves Colors, they are space wolves, even if they don't use the exact models. Otherwise, it's most likely a "counts as" army, which is also legit. In the later case, just explain that you are doing a counts as, just to keep everything cleared up.
I would have no problems playing against a "count as" SW-army either in friendly games or in a GT.
The "count as" armies" are all over the place. Old DA players who use the new SM dex. And then we of course have all the "count as" SC.
I guess the next wave will be "count as" BA, when that codex hit the shelfs.
Well, I have my own chapter and thus it's own colour scheme, so I guess that should be fine, thanks ^^
If the models are equipped relatively in line with WYSIWYG then there should be no problem with it from a rules stand point, all indications from GW suggest that this kind of thing is certainly not a problem.
