im trying to come up with clever tactics for a my SW list, in an upcoming tournament. i wonder how 5 WG and a WGBL with saga hunter outflanking in a razorback would work. they will have supporting unit since my army has drop pods, transports and 12" movements.
It won't work. The squad of Wolf Guard do not have outflank, and the character won't give the outflank USR to the squad. The only time a character would is if it explicitly says it would. As Saga of the Hunter does not say that, it is illegal. A clever thought, but illegal nonetheless.
One example of a character conveying a USR to a squad is Ragnar. He gives Furious Charge to his squad, but only because it says he does in the codex!

The Wolf time is upon us!
Rep for the Rep God! Positive for the Positive Throne!
Armies: Space Wolves, Imperial Guard, Emperors Children, Necrons, Eldar
ok, at least i didnt show up to the tournament thinking that.
Stick him on a TWolf instead!
yes i was kinda thinking of that. do i get to assault the first turn with him(provided im in range)?
If you deploy 24" apart (technically 24.1") you can't charge turn 1 unless your opponent moves up.
If you're going to deploy him normally, just run a Wolf Lord or TWC. Only use the WGBL if you're outflanking.
