So i have been reading up on my honor gaurd and making my own custom models for them. The grenade launchers in the codex say two things that i need someone to confirm.1. they can be fired with the bolter.2. they are attached to the bolter. Are both of these true or does it remove the bolter and you can only fire it?

Auxiliary Grenade launchers are some form of launcher for some form of grenade, which may be fired in addition to the model's other gun.
Since they never expressly state what the launcher looks like, you're free to model it however you like, and one of the examples they give is the idea of having it slung beneath the model's bolter like the real-world M203 launcher. Whether you choose this method or not is entirely up to you, and it has no effect of the model's other weaponry at all.
