Currently I run a fairly by-the-numbers mech sisters list and i'm starting to feel the lack of any real CC in my list, I may not need assault terminator levels of power, but something more than my lone eviscerator cannoness is needed.
I have experimented with seraphim but they just do not seem to cut it and they eat up faith at an alarming rate and do not provide the power i'm looking for.
So while thinknig up all kinds of silly strategies to cover this weakness I looked at Karamazov and he got me thinking, him coupled with my typical cannoness should provide a semi decent CC front and when supported by triple excorcist thats 4 pretty durable targets that need stopping.
So I was wondering what people think about this? Is it complete madness or a solid idea?
For reference, my proposed list is-
cloak, book, bolt pistol.,master-crafted eviscerator
VSS: boltgun, book
flamer, heavy flamer
flamer, heavy flamer

I would drop the extra armor on the exorcists and use the points to make the bolters on the vet bolter flamers for that extra punch. I think Kamarazov is a nice addition to the list but just remember that he is a decent cc unit.
can he use psychic powers? he has a familiar and he is an IL but he doesnt have the special rule psyker. I personally think he should be able to cause all other IL can and the rules dont say he cant. Throw hammerhand on that beast and watch land raiders run for cover (five attacks on the charge S10 2D6 pen). Oh and the rules for Hammerhand do not specify that the strength can only go up to 10, i skimmed the BRB and did not see anywhere that says that rule either, yes the chart only goes up to S10 but logically if you double his strenght it goes to S12 with no rules saying otherwise. If that were the case then you would get an auto glance on land raiders.
Suffer not the heretic. That's right, I'm looking at you Astartes Librarians.
He´d rather die than being a psyker
Karamazov doesn't really do enough damage in close combat to carry his weight - he'll put out perhaps 2 wounds a round - but 2+/4++ can be tough for some opponents, Necrons for instance.
In a radical force he's more useful as he equipment and special rules complement them fairly well, and he's not going to get isolated.
People are always trying to get our army to do things its not meant to do. If you want to run an assaulty army, buy Nids or something else. We are a short range shooting army. It is better to learn it now, rather than to sit around and wonder why you are always getting the piss beat out of you and not getting anything in return.
Run the throne if you want. But I wouldn't include him if you are trying to be competive. Stick with what we do best for when you need it, and have fun the rest of the time.
