    1500 combined force, mainly GK/SOB

I am back to 40K and DH/WH since a while, and I toy with the idea of having a 1500 combined force, mainly GK/SOB.
1/ how valid is this ? I saw I can ally DH/WH, but are there any restriction for GK/SOB ?
2/ is this generally not allowed in tournament ? ( a while ago, allies were not allowed in tourney. any changes on that ? is this rule-set based on allies , yes ?)
3/ now consider just fun, without the pure tourney mindset, and without too much fluffitude.
What would be a decent 1500 combined force ?
(I used to play full GK or full SOB with 2/ 3 exorcists, but I am more open to fun now... still aiming efficiency ..)

has anybody experimented this already ?

first- the rules of allied armies in respect to GK and SoB are one HQ, one Ellite, one Fast, 2 troops, and no heavies- also whatever army restirctions applies in either codex applies to the allied units meaning that if you allied an assassins youll need an Inq. or allied repentas youll need a priest.

second- this is a local issue, sometimes they are allowed some times not- about 70 percent of the time for me they are allowed.

third- porbably best to parent the SoB and ally the GK because DH heavy isnt as rich as WH. Also the fast attack choices for WH are better.

    As above,

I would definitely take the SoB as the parent list as DH are severely restricted not only in FA but HS as well.

I run DH myself with some SoB squads as allies, particularly seraphim, but that is more an aesthetics choice than for any real practical purpose,

I personally like running SoB with allied grey knights. I usually take two squads of 5-6 GKs with a single psycannon and put them in a HS immolator (The best part is you can take a small squad of rets if you want and have the GKs yank the ride) and have some termies port in. It works beautifly!
