I am trying to build a gunline army so I have something different to field (my regular opponents are getting a bit tired of 14 vehicles in 2k) and I need quite a bit of different heavy weapon teams. The easiest (and cheapest) way of doing this is to use most of the weapons given in the squad box, but they only provide 2 guardsmen per team. I need to make all of the autocannons, missile launchers, and lascannons into teams of their own.
My question is, how would you go about converting in order to use all of these weapons? I am already going to use the hunter killer missile from the tank upgrade sprue on the mortar tripod for missile launchers, but I cannot figure out how to use both the autocannon and lascannon without two of the kneeling gunners.
Should I buy actual boxes of cadians and stick them on? Or will the snap-together (read: cheaper) cadians work? Perhaps I don't even need cadians on the missile launcher bases?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are plenty of sellers on eBay that have broken down the heavy weapons boxes and will sell the different parts to you. That way you can concentrate on just the weapons/parts you need. It's where I go whenever I'm doing a conversion. "WindowBox" is a very good seller to get these from.

You have two problems, lack of tripods & lack of crew.
Crew is easily sorted by getting second hand stuff off ebay as Sandwyrm suggests, could do the same with the tripods but these tend to be rarer.
One thing you could do is mount them on childrens toys insect forms work well just like the krootox but then you'll need to find some mounted legs that fit.
Another option is to put them on some epic scale landraiders so they look like Rapiers then the crew can be stood up or even off the table remotes, just make certain your opponents know what they represent.
There are probably a lot of other ideas out there these are just the first to come to my mind because I was considering something similar myself.
I made all the heavy weapons from one kit into viable weapons/teams.
Autocannons - assembled as normal using the tripod.
Lascannons - the gun is mounted on some box stuff from my bits box. Anything will do, but I chose to make mine look like the stand was also the battery pack. Power cables from a mates spare lascannons enabled a "u-turn" cable to power them, but the usual S bend cable to the battery on the ground would work fine too.
Missile launchers - standing cadians holding the missile launcher. Standing crew holding the missiles and binoculars etc.
Heavy Bolters - cadians lying down with the gun propped on the sandbags. I used the flamer or grenade launcher left arms to make them look like they are propping themselves up, or crawling.
Mortars - assembled the mortar with the bipod on a square 25mm base (it just fitted). Yet to make standing crew for these.
AC and LC use the same gunners. Some are standing with the trigger arms and some are kneeling. Remember there are more trigger arms on the tank accessory sprue. If your tank has pintle weapons they don't have to be manned as such so you can poach the arms from that sprue.
You could make a small dugout type thing out of kebab skewers or some matches with the gun poking out, that way you don't need any crew at all.
