How would you guys suggest I model meltaguns on to my Ravenwing bikers?
I was thinking of using spare marine bolt pistol arms, cutting off the bolt pistol and gluing a grip-less meltagun on the hand. Perhaps have the gun resting on the handle bars ready to be fired.
Does this method sound alright? If you have a better way let me know. I appreciate any input.
I think that's more or less the standard solution. Myself, I prefer mounting the weapon to one side of the wheel well, front tire. Thinking about giving them magnetic mounts.
...This way you could swap them for Plasmas or Flamers with ease. Nice idea, if you can model some type of a holster or what now... I went with the pistol arm idea so far. With my next bikes I am going to try to model the gun resting in the lap of the biker or being held with one hand with the butt of the gun resting on one of the legs of the biker...
You can do them Holding them, which is probably the easiest option. Other ways are to put them in holsters or if you feel like converting you can replace one of the Boltguns with the Special Weapon of your choice.
A cool looking conversion would be to remove/reposition the headlight that's between the bolters and fit the meltagun between the two bolters. I did something similar for a Wazdakka Gutsmek conversion and It looks really cool I think
