I've never bought a Razorback kit before, so I was wondering what weapon options come with it. The official site only states a lascannon and bolter turret, but there's still flamers, AC and the LC/PG. If it doesn't come with those, what do people normally do for conversions? Thanks!
As I understand it, the assault cannon bit is hard to come by, it might only be part of the Land Raider crusader box. Pretty sure you can order it separately, though.
Or you can order the psycannon bits from forgeworld. That only makes sense if you want GK, though. It's fun though, as you can claim they're either heavy bolters or ACs, though. For me, they're always ACs, though.
You get a bunch of ACs with a ravenwing battleforce - 3 pairs of them. Anyone with a bikers list should have a bunch of them kicking around.
Flamers are a little harder to come by, though you could probably scavenge some from a guard player, or the ball predator.
The Ravenwing assault cannons dont come with the cowling, and i dont know if the lascannon or heavy bolter cowling will fit easily when you put two of the Ravenwing ACs together, as they are designed to be fitted under a land speeder. You can get a crusader upgrade sprue from GW, to supply the correct twin linked assault cannons. I got it solely to upgrade a Razorback. Typically, its all still in the box.
Jager bombs. Very efficient at wiping out friend or foe.
Ah ok, sounds like just the laz and bolter come with it and conversions. No one has mentioned anything for a LC/PG choice, which is what I hope to field as a Blood Angel. I'll just have to get some extra bits and get creative.
The only way I know to get it is via a Crusader conversion kit. The Crusader AC is identical to the Razorback one.

There's nothing to say the turret has to look like the GW HB/LC turrets. With a bit of plasticard, it wouldn't be all that hard to cook up something along the lines of the Forgeworld razerback turrets. Personally, I'd give someone props for being that creative with their turret designs. The Ravenwing assault cannons dont come with the cowling, and i dont know if the lascannon or heavy bolter cowling will fit easily when you put two of the Ravenwing ACs together, as they are designed to be fitted under a land speeder. Land Speeder kits (Typhoon or Tornado, the one with AC and flamer) will yield a heavy flamer and AC which you may/may not need for the land speeder itself. The AC's would be very easy to convert to a turret using and existing turret or designing your own. Also, if you make an AC turret that looks tank-like and can find a way to have separate removable HB's you can use it as a Baal as well. I love the versatility of the Rhino chassis . For Las/Plas I would use left-over Tactical Plasma guns and the Lascannon turret. Seems like you could just glue it together and viola but I haven't tried this.
I may actually attempt some of this since I have 4 Land Speeders with AC's which are not all that good anymore and could use a conversion to Melta/flamer badly. The left-over AC's can go towards a Baal conversion. Probably not though since they're all painted up and pretty. Good luck.
