    Which models in boxes

I was calculating the cost of an army earlier for a Space Marine army I am planning when I stumbled upon an interesting issue.
Some of the box sets do not contain all the necessary components for my force.
I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me which models the sets are not capable of creating so I could plan to purchase separate bits/models.

Anyways, here is my list and the sets I plan on purchasing so far...

    HQ
    Vulcan He’stan
    ELITE
    Ironclad Dreadnaught
    • Heavy Flamer Dreadnaught Close Combat Weapon
    • Drop Pod
    Ironclad Dreadnaught
    • Heavy Flamer Dreadnaught Close Combat Weapon
    • Ironclad Assault Launchers
    • Drop Pod
    Terminator Assault Squad– 5 Terminators
    • Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields
    • Land Raider Redeemer
    • Brother-Sergeant Chronus
    TROOPS
    Tactical Squad– 10 Marines
    • Flamer
    • Multi-Melta
    • Rhino
    • Storm Bolter
    • Dozer Blades
    Tactical Squad –10 Marines
    • Flamer
    • Multi-Melta
    • Rhino
    • Storm Bolter
    Tactical Squad – 10 Marines
    • Flamer
    • Multi-Melta
    • Drop Pod
    HEAVY SUPPORT
    Predator
    • Lascannon Side Sponsons
    • Extra Armor
    Predator
    • Lascannon Side Sponsons
    • Extra Armor

    1 Vulcan He’stan
1 Chapter Master/Captain (For converting and such)
    2 Ironclad Dreadnaughts
    1 Terminator Assault Squad
1 Land Raider Redeemer/Crusader (converting a chapter appropriate Chronus equivalent)
    3 Tactical Squads
    2 Rhinos
    3 Drop Pods
    2 Predators

Do I need to add anything else to the list?

Tactical squads do not come with Multi meltas I'm afraid. The best way to get them is to get the Blister packs from the GW Website or mail Order.

If you're after any tips on your list whack it up on the army list section. There's a few things you can tweak and unesecary upgrades i'd ditch like extra armour and Dozer Blades.

I have a question along similar lines... My planned list is:

The Sanguinor, Exemplar of the Host:
Artificer armour, Glaive Encarmine, frag and krak grenades

    Sanguinary Guard:
1 Sanguinary Guard with power fist and infernus pistol.
1 Sanguinary Guard with Glaive Encarmine, Angelus boltgun and Chapter Banner.
3 Sanguinary Guard with Glaive Encarmine and Angelus boltgun.
All have Death Masks, frag and krak grenades and jump packs.

    3 Sanguinary Priests:
Jump pack, chainswords, bolt pistol, frag and krak grenades.

    Assault Squad
1 Space Marine Sergeant with power fist and infernus pistol.
    1 space Marine with meltagun.
8 Space Marines with chainswords and bolt pistols.
All have jump packs and frag and krak grenades.

    Assault Squad
1 Space Marine Sergeant with power fist and infernus pistol.
    1 space Marine with meltagun.
8 Space Marines with chainswords and bolt pistols.
All have jump packs and frag and krak grenades.

    Assault Squad
1 Space Marine Sergeant with power fist and infernus pistol.
    1 space Marine with meltagun.
8 Space Marines with chainswords and bolt pistols.
All have jump packs and frag and krak grenades.

Now, HQ and the Elites are no problem, but the Assaul Squads might be... As I understand only Deathcompany 5-man plastic box has infernus pistols so I'll probably buy 3 of them and use the marines as conversion bits to make the Assault Suqad marines a bit more personal. But DC box doesn't look like it has meltaguns... So the question boils down to this: Where to get meltaguns? Does Assault Suqad (5-man plastic) box have them? If there is no meltaguns in Assault Squad are there any in Space Marine Command Squad (5-man plastic)?

I think there's a meltagun in the command squad. There's none in the assault squad, but there's definitely one with a tactical squad, and you could also order them in blisters from GW, or other sources.

Thanks. Anyone know for sure about the command squads if they have meltagun? Also, do the metal heavy-weapon blisters come with separate backpacks so one could easily change them around with jump packs?

Command squads come with 1 of each special weapon. a powerfist, a power weapon, enough bolt pistol & CCW arms for the whole squad and 2 arms to hold special weapons/bolters. There's also arms for the specialists like combat sheild, apothecary and standard bearer.

    I think there's also 6 legs. 5 standing and 1 kneeling.

Also, do the metal heavy-weapon blisters come with separate backpacks so one could easily change them around with jump packs?
What do you mean by this mate? The back packs are seperate and so are the arms. The basic body, legs & head, is off a plastic marine while the wapons and back pack are metal.

You see I've never collected marines before and I've only handled "finished" pieces so I had no idea if metal marines had they body and back pack separate or made of one piece. Good to know it is, though, since I have to put jump packs on every model.

Nah back packs are always seperate. I'm a wee confused though. You're not going to give a Heavy weapon trooper a jump pack are you........thats just plain silly.
As for the actual heavy weapon back packs, they do link up to the Heavy weapons/arms through weapon feeds or power cables so not putting them on makes them look a little odd.

Its not a multi-melta, its normal meltagun (assault 1) so it'll jump along with the rest of the assault boys.

Ooh. Now it makes sense...... For some reason I thought we were on about heavy weapon troopers. God knows where I got that from.

If you're after loads of Melta guns look at these. Games Workshop GW does a set of 5 Melta guns for £4.50
