I've been wanting to start a new army and i like the way WH look, but I'm wondering how well they work tactically. If you would be kind enough to go over some of the finer points of WH talents i would be very appreciative.
The cool thing about WH is that if you play on the sisters of battle you can use Acts of Faith which gives you certain bonus depending on the act. Sisters are also good shots and are power armored. They can use imperal guard and space marines(not at the same time).

Witch Hunters are one of the hardest armies to play with because they do not have a major strength in themselves. IMO Sisters are a great challenge and that along with not being played by many players (specially in the past) was one of the main attractions.
Besides the Acts of Faith mentioned before one of the good things about them is their versatility. With well rounded squads/army Sisters of Battle can deal with most situations.
and the figures are great looking....

Witch hunters are fun to play because of the variation of the army. I myself have only sisters of battle, but when you take all of the possibilities there are many diffrent tactics and options you can utilise. Each unit requires careful thinking and planning in combat, and when used right there is no way they can lose...

whats your opinion on archo-flagelents
The question should be what witch hunters army. I've been playing around with army builder and there are sooo many different forces you can make. As Said before, a WH army is extremely versatile and there is sooo much scoup for army fluff. Even without writing any yourself there is plenty of pre written history.
Also, the new range of sisters figures are spectacular. Have you bothered to look at the Repentias/Arco Flagellants/ Penitance Engines etc. They look Amazing.

Witch hunter armies are great for people like me who like insane amounts of diversity and individuality within your army. Our Ordo Hereticus Army is actualy 3 different armies put together..an inquisitor's personal force,a detachment of a Sororitas convent, and the survivors of an IG division.
And I personaly don' like arcoflagelants..but that's just me.
why don't you like them though? (what don't you like about them)
PS thank you all for your responses
It's just a matter of personal taste.I'd rather take a repentia squad for cc.I just don't like the models.
I prefer Penitent Engines or Seraphim over Arcos and Repentia.
Seraphim because they are eligible for Faith and Penitent Engines becuase they're so damned cool.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
