Would it matter at all in relations to tournaments and such if I used a different colour scheme to the norm?
It's nothing extremely different, the main colour is fortress grey
In no way shape or form. If you're using a Codex like Wolves, Templars or Angels just say so at the start of the game. As long as everything is wysiwyg I can't see anyone having a problem.
No, it wouldn't. As long as your opponent knew they were SW, they could be painted bright purple and fluorescent yellow. My SW colour scheme is grey and black rather than blue-grey, and I've never even had to tell anyone they were Wolves, particularly because SW tend to be the chapter with the most obvious adornments (wolf pelts, tails, etc). I wouldn't think you'd even need to say that they were SW.
