Welcome to Librarium Online!
Space Marines are one of the most prominent Warhammer 40.000 tabletop armies. They are among the toughest and most flexible, enabling players to field almost any kind of army build especially if you include the related codices of the divergent chapters. A common choice for beginners, but also a valid one for seasoned veterans. And each of our armies, no matter how long we play, has a history...
For our 50th issue of the Space Marine Topic of the Week series we shall remember those moments of awesomeness we experienced with our Space Marine armies. Those turning points in tight games, those lucky rolls, when those plastic heroes of ours accomplished unimaginable feats.
Describe the most fun moments you had with your Space Marine army, who its greatest heroes are and what they have done. Share the memories you have of your Space Marine army with the community.
i havn'tplayed many games with my marines, but i would have to give the award to my space marine captain who emerged from reserve in a razorback to single-handedly cut though half a tyranid army, including a carnifex (which charged him) and several broods of gaunts. All on his own
Got a few......
1. Most recent. Drop Pod of 10 Death Company land in the middle of a Tau army. Take a round of shooting and loose 1! Charge into 2 full squads of Firewarriors and take them out to a man (read fishy man). Then get charged by Kroot. Loose one more but kill the lot. Turn and charge a Devilfish and take it out. Game ends. I smile.
2. Master of the Forge on a Bike with Conversion Beamer. Turn one against Orks he fires at full range and hits a Battlewagon full of mechnobs (whatever thay are called). Penetrates and makes the vehicle, that hasn't moved, skid right off the board! Trying not to laugh was very hard.
3. Last one. Under 4th ed rules we used to be able to consolidate straight into another combat from winning one. I had a Chapter Master with Jump Pack and LC's coupled up with a Chaplain with Jump Pack, Power Fist and Crozius joined to an Assault squad with all the whistles and bells. Cost was around 550pts. The whole army was a delivery system to get these boys into combat. Most of the time they would get into assault turn two and then (at initiative 5) the Chaplain and Chap' Master killed whatever was being attacked whilst the squad stood and applauded such a fine display of CC prowess. That 'hammer' was disliked rather alot at my local club. ;-)
I've got a good one, not space marines though.
My sisters of battle canoness with jump pack, eviscerator and inferno pistol, tons of fun.
On her debut with my friends we were playing a huge team game. Top of turn 2 she jumps over a building and chops a landraider in half, killing 2, YES 2, termies inside. The explosion destroyed 2 rhinos as well (one was mine...) and she took a wound herself. Bottom of turn 2 the termies hide from my plasma cannon instead of charging my cannoness, but she does get charged by a dreadnought and tears it to shreds. The scares my opponents so much that I chase them around the board with her for the rest of the game, and she does eventually claim a battered unit of marines (5 or 6 i think). Even after turn 2 we probably would have lost if it hadn't been for the bluffing. I will remember that incredible day forever!
Haven't been playing very long but the best thing that my army has accomplished so far is.
I was versing Orks, had my Termies set up in a spearhead formation surrounding my Captain they rushed in for the first turn and during the second turn they had killed 8 boys, but lost all 5 Termies (Very hard to do) then the Captain by the end of the match had killed the rest of the boys and 2 Dethkoptas.
Scout Sergeant Telion
Turn 1: Kills SM sarg with lightning claw
Turn 2: Guides missile into killing a dreadnought
Turn 3: Kills SM sarg with power fist, helps pin squad
Turn 4: Guides missile into killing drop pod
Turn 5: Guides missile into killing drop pod
Turn 6: Kills flamer armed marine approaching my scouts
I miss my all scout (and Shrike) army, it was fun as hell to play...

My opponent did this one just recently: Pedro and his Sternguard are contesting a vital objective. His squad gets wiped out by a round of shooting from a Stormraven and Pedro himself is knocked down to one wound. What does Pedro do? Simple: he does what any other man with balls of adamantium would do and wrecks the Stormraven with a punch. He punched a goddamn Stormraven to death.
After the game my opponent said "you just got Crimson Fisted."

Mr_Wayne: "Some people believe that the World Eaters do not field any ranged weaponry. Those people often die at a distance."
The other day i had rarther the opposite side of luck with Calgar. Ok razorback with twin-linked assault cannon, not that threatening at first ut after hitting with all and wounding with all i was shocked when a rolled 4 1's for armour saves!!!! he was on full wounds about you make a mess of my opponents objective but rolls 4 ones. I havn't used him in a week lol so much for the master of the Ultramarines.
Nothing more funny than 3 inquisitors with sanctify when facing deamons. They cant do anything while you stand in front of them having a tee break.
Sadly my most memorable moment when it comes to wargaming was not with a GW game..so i will keep it to myself, but trust me, it was awesome LMAO
