Just a quick question on razorback turrets. What are your thoughts on the Lascannon/Twin Linked Plasma Gun turret?
I was watching 'ard boys games yesterday and saw a guy running a couple of these. Now I didn't watch much of that game because I luckily got a friendly 2500 point game on one of the few free tables, so I don't know how well they worked. But it was the first time i've actually seen anyone run them like that.
In the Castle of Pain on a Mountain of Skulls I sat on a Throne of Blood. What was will be, what is will be no more. Now is the season of Evil!

I tend not to paint bullseyes on my transports ...
If I'm equipping a small squad to do a certain ( often important ) job, I don't want to give my opponent a reason to shoot at it first.
I guess such upgrades can work, depending on the list's build.
With the ability to spread plasma guns and lascannons around your force, I really don't see a need to throw them ONTO a razorback.

From my experience with them, they work well when brought in excess (5 or more). Armor saturation is a key feature to this army build. With the paper thin armor of the razorbacks, make sure you bring some armor 13 (Vindicators), or even a land raider. That way your opponent won't know what to target.

It depends on how you intend to use them: they are a little more durable against enemy fire (need two weapon destroyed results to lose all their armament), and have many high-powered shots when stationary, but have inferior firepower when on the move. If used as transports this (and actually any of the other upgrade turrets) is a waste. If used as a working horse (spammed to the max) it can be a valuable upgrade. The lack of specialization can be a disadvantage, but when spammed the versatility can be a plus.
Also have a look at Breakdown: Razorback Turret Mounts for some mathhammer and thoughts on the different mounts.
