question thats bothering me. do sang guard get the bonus for 2 cc. ive been playing it that they dont but where does it say 2 handed weapons negate the bonus? are we meant to assume as players that it does? and if it does take the bonus why the hell would they nerf an awsome unit like that?
A moment of weakness spawns a life tme of heresy...

The problem with them like with most units is running only one won't get you very far.
I do agree though that a two handed weapon should offer a bonus, perhapse not + 1 attack but rather a bonus to strength while in combat. Like they swing at str 5 instead of 4.
The two handed weapons offering no actual bonus for being two handed (unless you consider the master-craft as a bonus, which I don't. I'd rather have more attacks than one re-roll per model), which I find strange. I had imagined they'd get some kind of strength bonus like relic blades or nemesis force weapons, as they are similar two handed but awesome power weapons.
You can give them the chapter banner to help fix this lack of attacks, but it costs nearly as much as one of the squad members and it makes an expensive unit even more expensive. I wouldn't say they are so expensive as to make them useless, but they don't feel as efficient for their points as other elite slot choices.
Okay I agree they should have been given a strength bonus for having 2H Power Weapon. But overall I like them any way. Angelis Bolt gun is great for bringing the fire of 10 Assault marines to bear w/ better AP in a smaller package for about the same points cost (close). I think they are a good alternative for BA players that don't want to take termies (aka me and a few other battle brothers). I find this unit flexable and useful and the basic need to run 2 is the only down fall I see.
In the last 5,000 years humans have not evolved. The things that have changed is our diet its time to revert to our primal nature go paleo http://robbwolf.com
The added option of deathmasks and infernus pistols is a nice touch as well
