Hello! im new to this fourm and i think this is the right place to post this. Im just starting Space Marines (Played Orks and have a 1500 point army) and i want to know if this is a good start.
Commander with Storm Bolter and Lighting Claw (One claw)
Tactical squad with 1 missile launcher and 1 flamer. Sergant with powerfist and boltpistol.
Scout Squad with snipers and missile launcher.

Yup, you are doing just fine with your first models here. Your next purchase should be transports, rhinos, razorbacks, or droppods for the tacticals. The next thing you should decide is which gamestyle will you want to play with.
Looking good so far. I would steer yourself towards a pair of drop pods and a venerable dread with a heavy flamer. Put a teleport homer on the dread's pod and get yourself an assault terminator squad with thunder hammers and storm shields to teleport in with your captain.
But, that is just me.
Thanks for the feedback. Is my commanders loadout/wargear choice good because i was worried about it.
I would run him with 2 claws. The extra high init/high ws attack will probably do more than a storm bolter.
If you aren't teleporting him or and especially if he isn't with terminators, put him in artificer armor with lightning claws. it is a bit cheaper for the same abilities. And if you aren't with terminators you can sweeping advance.
Edit: I assumed you put him in terminator armor to get the stormbolter. By itself a stormbolter isn't really worth it as an upgrade.

i only have one lighting claw, and to Zagman i dont have terminator armor D:
You could do relic blade in artificer armor?
you could field him as a commanfer (or as i would do, turn him into chapter master with a S10 AP1 large blast shot. sure is one use - but you can decimate any HQ choice against you. personally i would drop the claw for a power sword as you can have extra attack with powersword and not with one claw
