Would taking a pair of Hydra's in a 2000 point which already contains 7-9 Autocannons within Infantry squads be a bit of overkill or at least make the Hydra's redundant?
They are awesome models but I really dont want to grab them if I already have enough Autocannon fire coming out of the lines.
I would definitely take the Hydras. Twin-linked with a longer range! If you feel like you have too many autocannons, drop some from the infantry, not the other way around! My opinion anyway
I WANNA GET STUCK IN WIT DA BOYZ
Theres no such thing as overkill mate. Not in the Imeprial Guard

I like them for their distraction qualities. I'd rather loose a 75 pt Hydra than a demolisher or have my infantry de-meched.
Well that depends on how you do with light vehicles.
Do you generally struggle to destroy them? Or do you kill them all in one turn?
What other forms of AT do you have in your force, I doubt those 7-9 autocannons are your sole AT weapons and if you have a lot more you may not need the hydras.
Is your area mechanised? Are they mainly hybrid? Or are they full of infantry slogging it across the board?
Do you play on 6x4 tables or 6x8 where the extended range of the hyrda may come into use more often?
I beleive that generally you should know if you need more anti tank, since you have the answers to all these questions, if you want us to help more you can help us help you by giving us these answers.
