Mordian Iron Guard
Arphista Penal Legion
As many of you know, I occasionally pop up with pics of a new Guard project and never seem to get much further with any of them.
So I've decided to stop zipping around between projects and concentrate on a single Guard army. However, I don't know which one to choose. This is where you guys come in. I need your opinions.
I would like you to tell me which project you like best and give me some feedback as to why you think I should go forward with this project. If you have any further comments or ideas, please tell me.
Here are my projects:
The 105th Mordian Iron Guard
The 26th Arphista Penal Legion
The 7th Attilan Legion
The 39th Pyran Dragoons
most people were probably sleeping or at work when you posted. Patience, young padawan, patience. The dragoons would get my vote, but I'm totally down with the Death Korps of Kreig.
I voted the Attilan Legion, everyone knew they existed, it would be great to see an army of them.
Penal legion gets my vote. The few models you showed were expertly converted, great job. After reading about the Adeptus Arbites, the shock maul/riot shields are perfect.
It'd be interesting to play a campaign with a penal legion army, like Schaeffer whittling down the army to the cream of the crop...
penal. I like the use of heads esp, and the necromunda / chancers "splash".
my gods the attilians must be hideously expensive (to get heads for)
Adeptus Mechanicus Marines: http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...ml#post1655065
Why not theme it as the remains of many depleted regiments that got combined? You'd be able to field it in strength then, you won't go mad trying to hand craft a whole army five times over and any new ideas that take your fancy can be integrated into the overall force.
The Attilans are indeed Steel Legion minis with Catachan heads and Green Stuffed hats, furline and sleeves.
@ Korona: I've never liked armies like that. I prefer a full army that looks good as a whole as well as the individual minis. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I think the penal legion guys are a cool idea but I like to have a uniform look throughout my armies.
