I would like to implement some rough riders into my small IG force but, I hate the current models. So, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could convert some out of some other kits for a cadian flavor.
how about marine scout bikers? It may confuse people a little given bikes are a separate unit type but they would at least look a bit more industrial and modern. figs for modern looking cavalry are obviously hard to find. Forces in ww1 used cavalry and there are figs for that but they don't wear flak armour.
Copy, Improve, Innovate
Chaos Marauder horsemen make a good start. You can clip off a few of the spiky bits to de chaos them somewhat. Then add cadian torsos heads and arms.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
I would love to buy some forgeworld crack (it's the good stuff ;P ), however I'm pretty sure my wife would have my head on a stick for spendin 78 bucks on 5 models.
maybe a little less cadian but using chaos knights work ok if you de spike the armour. Their weapons are more varied and that isnt very guard but guardsmen look good in that armour with cadian heads.
You can make some nice looking roughriders with cadian bodies and dark elf cold ones. Buy the lizards on a bitz site so only get what you need. There are plenty of examples on line.
