So this is my take on a Storm Raven. I know I'm a little late to the conversion party but better late than never. The white stuff is all plasticard. Sweet awesome plasticard. I didn't want to settle for anything that looked too much like guard so scratch building was the only option. I had plenty of Valk bits left over which will make a nice crater explosion.
My idea was that a Storm Raven is essentially a smaller more agile Thunderhawk so it shares a lot of characteristics. (Well we didn't get any pictures for reference right) This thing measures about 12 inces long, an actual Thunderhawk is somewhere around 18-19 inches just for size reference. The dread on the back is magnetized to a grapple system. I figure this works with the assault transport idea as it drops the ground and start tearing stuff up. You can't see it so well as I had to trash all my low shots but there's a twin linked heavy bolter just after the assult ramp in the front.
The picture quality is pretty bad, sorry for that. Taking shots of white plasticard is tough, I threw out most of my shots!
That is pretty awesome. I love how thunderhawky it looks!
Can't wait to see it painted!
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face... for ever."
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly amazing work!! That is a piece of art of which you can (and should!) be very proud! I tried to rep you but it did not work...
Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Fantastic model, well done sir. My rep worked.
Jager bombs. Very efficient at wiping out friend or foe.
