Hey guys, I was just wondering: If your were to upgrade any space marine sargeant, captain, command squad figure, etc., with two of the same weapon, would it count as one twin-linked weapon?
Nope, as a model can only use 1 weapon unless specifically stated otherwise. I believe the only army in which this is the case is Witch Hunters.
Thanks for that update. I couldn't find it any where in my codex, I just know that the tau battlesuits can do this, so I was wondering if the space marines could, as we are infinitely better than that xenos scum!
Nope - this is one of those cases where it must explicitly say you get the bonus in order to claim it. Even on a tank or similar, taking, say, two Heavy Bolters just gives you two of them - you've gotta take one TLHB for it to count as twin linked.
So even if he could take two Bolters, he'd just have... Well, two Bolters. That's it.
