what are your experiences with using super heavy tanks like the baneblade!
and as a little extra have any of you used a shadowsword? i'd like to know how it went, and if it was worth it.
thanks in advance!
The two best ones in my opinion are the shadowsword - template D weapon - enough said and the Baneblades just spread the love about alot.
this question was done recently wasn't it?

Most of the time I've used my Baneblade it has done horrific damage to my enemies and been utterly ignored because it was well-supported and they figured they couldn't harm it.
Granted, I run nine Russes plus whatever else I feel like bringing and my partners bring the troops. I haven't needed the Destructor yet since no one else seems to care to invest in Apoc-only units besides me. Well, there is an unbuilt stompa...
RecklessFable's Journey to Mediocrity (Painting an IG army)
I've been addicted to World of Tanks lately and neglecting my IG... But it is so... much... fun!
I'm not too big on the baneblade. Just too much cover around makes it not as effective. The shadowsword, on the other hand, just kick a$$. Destroyer guns are the best. I would take the shadowsword over the baneblade anyday (unless, of course, if I was going up against daemons).
One other tank that is pretty nice is the Stormlord. Yes, fill it up with heavy weapon squads and it's got a lot of firepower. I usually put my long fangs/devastators in there and it's become my super-heavy tank of choice nowadays.
Record: Win - Loss - Draw: Hive Fleet Pandora (New) 32-6-6 Space Wolf 7th Co. 52-11-6
Blood Angels 12-4-2 Daemonhunters 20-8-3
Imperial Guards 12-5-2 Daemons 8-3-2
Whenever I run my Baneblade I tend to run it as the Fortress of Arrogance to bolster my guard units, bit pricey but with enough guard it becomes quite potent. Although the Shadowsword is quite useful due to it's D weapon blast I have a Warhound with turbo-lasers so it feels second-rate. Shadowsword vs Baneblade I'd go with shadowsword, great against mech heavy forces, but becomes a priority target.
