Hi all, I'm recently getting back to knowing all the rules again for warhammer. I recently played Chaos Space Marines, but now I'm bored of them and going with Daemonhunters. Could you people help me build a good 1000 point army? I would, but I'm still rusty and don't know a lot about the race. I have no particular budget. All suggestions welcome! Thanks in advance.

Short answer: See below. ^_^
Long answer: Look at the pinned Tactica on the top of this board, it has a rundown of all the availible unit choices and how to build a bunch of different style army lists. DH aren't a simple army, and you have to make a few decisions about play style before you buy a thing.
Echoing that sentiment, its hard to build a new army, especially one that is noted for offering a challenge.
Personally, if I were you I'd also take some time to look at three other armies as well, Space Marine, Imperial Guard, and Witch-Hunters. These are your three main allies for a Daemonhunter army. In particular, its probably easier for a person going from Marine or Guard to get into Daemonhunters, because you can add on as you go.
I myself had the Daemonhunters actually become available to me through chance, a trade opportunity of stuff from one gaming system I was getting out of for a DH army. The more I get to feel of the DH, I kind of like the idea of using a space marine base, with DH allies. So, like I was saying, it might be better if starting from scratch to also look at those three armies first, and see if thats a route you might want to take.
Also, since you were formerly chaos, one idea might be to see what you can build that would be good at fighting your old army. Become the good guy for once.
