Well, the day has come,or at least is drawing closer.
Anyone has more info?
Just that Codex: Grey Knights will be coming out in April with lots of new plastic models. It's in the Astronomican as an "Incoming!".
Tau Empire: We never stop hiding from you
At the beginning of turn 1, I spray my opponent's army with the bacon flavored spray. Then I unleash my Boston Terrier Squiggoth who then devours their entire bacon flavored army! There is no defense against her cuteness! All are doomed!
I happen to have some inside stuff on it. Not allowed to say how. Needless to say, though, I have a copy of the codex and It seems to be what we were hoping for. I'm not allowed to say too much, but I can tell you that GKs will stay an elite force, but with lots of choices. It will be incredibly hard to make an army because you will have such a lot of options that some people may try to cram into one army, and this will end up not working. There are a few routes to take with it; you can have an agile aggressive force, you can still castle, you can play reactively, and you can even go assaulty with this one. And it will work, too.
Couple new and severely updated units:
-Land raider - we now get our own type!!!
-No more inducted units
-Nemesis force weapons are now better
-R&D were considering putting sabotage aspects to assassins, but this is not confirmed
-Lots of other new, shiny things
-The plastic kits are awesome - expect around vanilla marine cost, with a fiver give or take for the new manufacturing process and awesome part sprues
-Look out for a new bits pack that has some awesome looking heads and weapons on
Stay tuned for new news; they won't let me put stuff that isn't already announced, I'll barely get away with this. As more stuff is announced, I can put loads of details about them, but for now it would be a lot safer for me to just shut up.
"Victory is sweet, blood is sweeter." - Aun'Vre
I am a very happy man. Very...very happy.
I will probably pick up a force. I was going to start the new dark eldar but it was going to cost me incredibly too much money with how many raiders I'd need.
Eldar -APOC- 6500 Points
Chaos Daemons -Fate Crusher- 3500 Points
Grey knights - 1000 Points
I'm ready for this. I already have 2 squads of PAGKs and a ton of GKTs to use. So this will be my next GW purchase, as well as more units to flesh out a viable army. And I will jump on the "Power army of the month" for these guys. Loved em before, plan to love em some more!
Am I the only one who's somewhat dreading the upcoming changes? What do I mean? Well, on one hand, one of my long standing armies is getting a much needed update, but at the same time they are getting a buff in a direction I don't know I'm comfortable with. At first the rumors were cool and interesting, but the more I find out about them, the more they seem to be over powered, and well herp derf spess mahreens. I'm sure it's way to early to tell for sure because everything is still rumors, but my friends have already said they don't even want to think about playing against them, and I don't think I'd be comfortable playing as them. I still have my GKs and I doubt I'll be getting rid of them, but if the codex is just another GW space marine wank sprinkled with Inquisition, then I doubt I'll be playing them. Regardless, I'll be sticking with my Sisters, patiently waiting for their own update.
40k: Silver Angels of Our Martyred Lady 7/2/3 - Daemons of the Great Squiggle! 3/1/0
Fantasy: Windhost of Athel'Loren 2/0/0 - Daemons of Another Great Squiggle! 0/0/0
Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
Let's hope they get a bit beefed up then, no allies otherwise is going to slaughter them.
