So ok my buddy has Cadian models and he uses them as carapaced troops. I have no problem with this because the Cadians armor is actually pretty big when you look at the other troops (catachan, who wear normal clothing. Mordians, who wear odd colorful suits. Valhallans, who wear winter coats. Tallarn, who wear desert clothing.) I was wondering if that would be part of WYSIWYG. Cause they are a little more bulky. To me it is but I was wondering if in a tournament to say or something would it be legal or would he have to do some conversions?
I believe it is legal as long as he keeps to that pattern and does not have any non-carapace armoured troops represented with the cadians.
Example: he uses Catachans for his basic troops then he can use cadians as stormtroopers or Carapace Armoured Troops. = Perfectly fine as far as I'm aware.
Mind you, if he has both Stormtroopers and carapaced troops he would need an obvious conversion or paint scheme difference between the two.
P.S. I believe there was a post on this about 2-3 weeks ago so for anymore info try the search function
