Tyberos the red wake
Meh about the same
Their both rubbish and I should pick a different chapter
Hello everyone I'm stuck between the choice of two chapters either Red Scorpions (Commander Culln) or The Carcharadons (Tyberos) and I can't decide which chapter I wanna do. The characters both have exaclty the same statline except Commander Culln comes with a master-crafted relic blade and storm bolter and Tyberos comes with a chain fist and a lightning claw which I can divide attacks between so they both have pros and cons in that area. Moving to special rules, Culln's combat tactics lets me replace sergeants in a tactical squad with apothecaries for free so most of my guys would get fnp for free which I like and for the rest of his special rules he gives plus 1 combat resolution to all Red Scorpion units within 12" which doesn't stack and for every 1 ws higher he is than an enemy in combat he gets plus one attack equal to the difference on the other hand Tyberos exchanges combat tactics for furious charge and any unit becomes subject to rage if they win a combat with another infantry unit. Tyberos also lets me take one unit of lightning claw armed terminators as a troops choice and in addition allows any infantry model to replace his bolter with a chainsword so they effectively become khorne bezerkers but cheaper and finally for Tyberos, if he wins a combat and gets rage he also gets preferred enemy for the rest of the game.
So that's it I'm sorry if it's a bit much but I really can't decide which is better so I'm hoping for some advice.

It depends on the how you plan to play your army. If you prefer a chapter that are highly aggressive and exact a large amount of damage and rage, then go for Tyberos and thr Charcharadons. If you prefer to make your force very resilent and protective, go with Lord High Comander Culln and the Red Scorpions. Both are very great Characters but it all depends on how you based on your style.
I agree with Varedis. Personally I run Lugft Huron, he doesn't do much for the army but his lion theme works with my army (celestial lions) as well as his Heavy Flamer (I tend to run Vulkan). He also unlocks one of my guilty pleasures in the Honor Guard.
I would suggest getting both and build your army in a way that makes them interchangeable. That way you can switch it up depending on what you feel like running. I know I have though about both in the past as I like the Terminator troop choice with Tyberos as well as it works with theme (lightning/lions claws) and the Apoth's with Cullin. The down side is that Cullin's abilities go against my armies fluff (being that their Apothecaries are dead).
The Silent One, do you want to make a DIY chapter or use a known chapter?
This was over 2 years ago, so it's a bit late now . And since no one bothered to reply, I got rid of the Forgeworld books and started Crimson Fists.
One shall stand, and one shall fall.
I actually have and use both, tyberos leads my sable swords, and Culln leads my astral knights, and while personally I prefer tyberos both in the way he looks and his rules half the problem with him is getting him into combat, although a squad of thunder hammer/ storm shield terminators with rage does work very well so he isn't bad you need to plan what you're doing with him from the beginning,
Culln on the other hand I use as part of the vanguard assault siege list and while initially I was to direct with them and he didn't last long, his army wide buffs, (stubborn as well as tactical squad apothecaries) can frustrate your opponent to no end, I give my tactical squads siege mantletts as well as an apothecary so they need to fail 3 saving throws before they die, but you need to play the long game with that army as even with that amount of protection the squad does drop quickly under enough fire power,
So it's personal choice, I like both, I use both and both are effective and fun,
